NEW TOWER

A new tower has be, the Virgin Mary Tower, was finished in 2021. On December 8th, we joined our neighbors and visitors to see the main stard. It was very emotional, and w; so happy to have witnessed this moment.

At the Salamanca restaurant, one of the most traditional restaurants in la Barceloneta, you can now have what we call a “fork and knife” breakfast,re in Barcelona. Until October 10th, you can visit at the Espais Volart a collection of 400 drawings, a collection of 400 artworks made by him- against the destruction of his work in 1971 at the Galería Theo and Taller de Picasso. The Fundació Vila Casa has just bought the Collection, and it is the first time we can see it in Barcelona.

Did you know that the founder of Barcardi Rum was born in Sitges? Mr. Facundo Bacardí moved to Santiago de Cuba at a very young age and officially founded the company on February 4th, 1862.

GAUDI LAMPOST

A tour to discover Gaudí as a young architect. This tour will take us on a visit to the Palau Güell and Casa Vicens.
Curiously, both are located in neighborhoods a bit off the beaten track from Barcelona’s Modernist-style areas. The Palau Güell is located just next to La Rambla, and the Casa Vicens is in Gracia, an old village that was actually outside the city of Barcelona until 1900. Built to be single-family homes, nowadays nobody lives in either of these houses.

Bodega La PeninsulCr is a great surprise located in la Barceloneta. Local products combined with vermouths and wines. Fried fish, clams, pimientos de Padrón… just try them all.

Through the works of Paul Klee and other artists, you’ll be able to see his fascination with nature and natural phenomena. Klees was a great influence for the Catalan artists from the second avantgardes.
