SEA LIVE AND SNORKELING IN BARCELONA WITH ANÈLLIDES

Yes — you can discover some of the most fascinating sea creatures right here in Barcelona!
Overlooking the city’s iconic skyline, the W Hotel rises above Barceloneta, Barcelona’s historic fishermen’s neighborhood. Just next to it, on the beach, you’ll find a small marine sanctuary where Sea Horses are now being placed.
This initiative is part of a collaborative project carried out by Anèllides together with the Barcelona city hall and the Port of Barcelona, which helped create and maintain the sanctuary, and with local fishermen, who rescue those trapped in traditional fishing nets. Anèllides helps relocate them to three sanctuary areas along the city’s seafront.
We were amazed to learn that seahorses can be found on Barcelona’s beaches — a hidden marine treasure just steps from the city!

If you’re passionate about conservation and sustainability, you can join their regular “Seafront Waste Collection” events, held some Saturdays year-round, to help keep the coastline clean and healthy. These community clean-ups help keep Barcelona’s coastline healthy while raising awareness about plastic pollution and ocean conservation. -
Snorkeling in Sitges and Other Coastal Towns
Anèllides also offers snorkeling experiences in the beautiful coastal town of Sitges — just 45 minutes from Barcelona. These experiences include a visit to an environmental education facility, combining nature, culture, and learning, making them ideal for families, schools, or eco-travelers.
