Miró Museum and Montjuïc Hill Tour

We’ll visit the only museum in the world exclusively dedicated to the great Barcelonian artist, Joan Miró. Inside this museum, you can see a great variety of his work, including tapestry, assemblages, his Burnt Canvases, and much more. Plus, you can take some fascinating pictures from the rooftop, where you’ll find some very colorful sculptures with Barcelona in the background.

We’ll get a closer look at the Olympic Ring, the scene of the 1992 Olympic Games, including the Stadium, the Indoor Sport’s Pavilion, and the Olympic swimming pools. The Summer Olympic Games changed the city of Barcelona for good. In fact, this is probably the very reason you are now looking into tours in Barcelona. The Games really positioned the city of Barcelona in the world and were a great success. Do you remember how we lit the Olympic Cauldron? Or the diving competition with Barcelona in the background? We’ll also tour the National Art Museum (MNAC) (optional), and if you are interested in modern architecture, we can add a visit to the Mies Van der Rohe Pavilion, or visit another surprising building just across the street, the Caixa Forum, an old factory, which has been transformed into an Art Exhibition Center.

We’ll also see the beautiful Plaza de España, built for the 1929 International Exhibition. If you would like to stay around this area to have some lunch, we can recommend some of our favorite places around Plaza de España; just a few minutes’ walk from the square you have some very traditional neighborhoods with excellent restaurants.

- No, we will take care of buying the tickets for you.
Where do we meet?
- The guide will pick you up at your hotel or apartment.
Is it kid-friendly?
- Yes, Miro’s artwork is engaging for children, and the Romanesque art collection at the MNAC offers a variety of interesting perspectives. We can also choose to visit only one museum and focus on the many attractions in Montjuïc.
Do we have Priority access?
- Yes, we have priority access to both Museums.
I have some mobility issues.
- If you choose the walking option, please keep in mind that we will be walking quite a lot, including some uphill sections. While there are plenty of escalators in the gardens, walking is a major part of our tour.
