Girona & Dali Museum in Figueres

Girona and Dalí Museum private tour

Our experienced drivers we’ll take us first to Figueres. During the drive, we’ll see the lush inland landscape of northern Catalunya from the highway.

Salvador Dalí designed the Museum himself; it is an old theater, and we think there’s no better place for a museum dedicated to his genius. Inside, you’ll find a car, a treasure room, a ceiling painted like the Sistine Chapel, and many other Dalinian surprises. Dalí himself is buried inside the Museum.

Only half an hour from Figueres, we reach Girona, the second biggest city in Catalonia. The Old City has some of the best-preserved Medieval Jewish streets and alleys, with a fascinating Museum dedicated to the Jewish Heritage in Catalunya. We can visit the Cathedral with one of the widest Gothic nave in the world, and a Tapestry that dates back from the 11th century. If you like just strolling around the nice streets of Girona let us know, and the guide will adapt the tour to whatever suits you better.

Both Figueres and Girona have fantastic restaurants that feature traditional Catalan cuisine so that you can get an authentic taste of the countryside.

If you prefer a Half day tour instead, then we recommend you the tour Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres, skipping the visit to Girona.

    • We use Paypal and SumUp ( you do not need to have an account, you can pay with any credit card). You can pay for the tickets on the same day as the tour.
  • Do I have to buy the tickets?
    • No, we will take care of buying the tickets for you.
  • Where do we meet?
    • The guide will pick you up at your hotel or apartment.
  • Is it kid-friendly? 
    • Yes, we can adapt the visit to get the little ones’ interest at the Dalí Museum and Girona. Keep in mind it is a long day with many moments of standing up at the Museum and some uphill walking in Girona.
  • Do we have Priority access?
    • Yes, we have priority access to both places.
  • I have some mobility issues.
    • The Dalí Museum is not 100& accessible and Girona has quite uphill streets that we can not avoid.

Everything was so easy. We met our guide, Begonia, across the street, which was a perfect spot for a group photo before we bypassed the long lines and entered the temple. Begonia spoke English perfectly, was extremely knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. She not only knew all the history and facts about Gaudi and the Sagrada Familia, but she grew up in Barcelona so she was able to give us anecdotes and stories of the temple as well as the Spanish culture. We had several teenagers in our group and she kept them fully engaged throughout the tour. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience with Carolina and Skip the Line. Best way to start our Trip !!!!

We signed up for the Highlights tour on our first full day in Barcelona and it was the perfect way to start our trip. Carolina was a great and patient guide and she really helped us get our bearings. We saw a few different areas of the city, learned a lot about each neighborhood, and ended up with a great tour of La Sagrada Familia.
