Palau de la Música i Hospital de Sant Pau Private tour

Barcelona is one of the European capitals of Modernist Style, or Modernisme as we call it here. One of the most important architects is Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
On our tour, we’ll show you two of his most iconic projects, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Hospital de Sant Pau.
-
Palau de la Música Catalana.
Modern times brought music to Barcelona alongside new architecture and art schools; this Renaissance of art led to the creation of amateur choirs throughout Catalonia. The Orfeó Català was founded in 1891, and a few years later, they commissioned the famous architect Domènec i Montaner to build their concert hall, which would be named Palau de la Música Catalana.
-
Hospital de Sant Pau i la Santa Creu
The Hospital de Sant Pau is a UNESCO World Heritage site that embodies the beauty of Catalan Modernism. Designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, this architectural gem boasts vibrant tiles, lush gardens, and ornate pavilions. Imagine a hospital that’s a work of art!
