The Castle in Pubol that dates back from 14th Century and was a Dali´s gift to his wife Gala, his muse since they met in Cadaqués in 1929. Dalí remodeled an ancient medieval castle for her and decorated it with his works. The result is a mysterious, private place with decoration and objects designed by the great artist. It is opened to visitors since 1996. Gala was buried in it in 1982.
We´ll drive then to Figueres and visit the great Theatre-Museum Dalí which opened in 1974, and it´s considered the biggest creation of Dali, both interior, and exterior of the building display great Dali´s works of art. It is a quite big Museum, we’ll get the best of it talking about some of the most interesting art pieces that he chose for the Museum. Some done by him, and some following his indications.
We can have lunch in Figueres or at some nice village in between Pubol and Figures.
